Transfer data from your previous iOS device to your new iPhone

When you receive your new cell phone most of the standard apps that you have on the old phone will be there. Right now you have email, calendar, contacts and notes all synced. Please switch on phone and have a look.

If you missing some apps that you downloaded from the Apple store you will need to download them again after you sign in with your Apple ID.

Other content from the old phone - pictures and additional apps are maybe backed up on the iCloud and you can download them from there. Be sure you backed up your old cell phone to iCloud. If there is no enough space on the iCloud you can back up your old phone to the computer using iTunes and then restore it to the new iPhone.

Note:

If you can't transfer some content from the old phone after you receive a new phone that is already set up with your profile then erase (factory restore) the new phone for full content migrations from the old phone as Apple suggests. Then use the below articles.

Scroll down and tap 'General'.

Scroll all the way down and tap 'Reset'.

You’ll see a few options. You want to tap 'Erase All Content and Settings'.

Tap on 'Erase iPhone'. Tap 'Erase iPhone' again (this is a security measure).

Enter your Apple ID - another security measure.

    Tap 'Erase'.
